Hannes Grandits

Hannes Grandits is a Chair of Southeast European History at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. He was also senior associate at the History Institute of Karl-Franzens-University Graz and in 2008/9 visiting professor at the Institute for Eastern and Southeast European History of the LMU Munich. In his research he works comparatively on socialist/post-socialist South-eastern Europe. Further fields of interests are historical-anthropological approaches to family and social security in Europe as well as the history of the late Ottoman Balkans.
